Salt Dough Letters and Numbers

We made salt dough using this easy recipe. It was so easy to make and wonderful to work with. I did decrease the water a touch and added a teaspoon of vanilla. The dough smelled delicious.  The kids are very impressed with the way they turned out, too!

These are the aprons the kids made before Christmas.  We sliced an apple in half and stamped the star shape in the middle. 

 I will admit this project took quite a few days to complete. The mess was quite a bit and it had a lot to do with the fact we were dealing with the in flow of Christmas presents.


However, the kiddos smiles were well worth the few days of mess.  It was a good way to ease back into the school routine again.  I will need to make note of that for next year.
