The Moon

Maple Syruping Tour

This is how people of the past used to heat the water to extract the maple out of the sap.

Tapping the trees.

Here's the "modern" way of extracting the maple out of the sap. It's a lot of hardwork, but oh so worth it!

King Cake

Feast of the Epiphany with a twist on the King Cake

First Lost Tooth!!!

The bottom right side tooth has been hanging on for by a thread for a while now--especially since her big tooth started popping in behind it!

Gg is for Garden
Princess received this cute Fairy Garden Kit for Christmas and we thought it was perfect for Gg week. Last year we tried to grow various seeds, but they all turned out moldy and gross. I can still smell the nasty rotting seeds. This kit is so much fun and it does include some bean seeds, but mainly it contains grass seed. I'm still trying to locate the finished product picture, but the grass grew and it grew fast. Perfect for us!

Gg is for Gingerbread Baby
We read Gingerbread Baby and Gingerbread Friends
And made cute foam gingerbread foam friends.
Gg is for Geography
In addition to the geography books we read, we played with another Christmas present the kiddos received Leapfrog Tag Maps.
Also, from here on out with the alphabet path books, we plan on pointing out where in the world the stories take place. If it should perk and interest, we may take a bit of a side lesson.
