The kiddos enjoyed the rhyming of these books. Also, the author has a website that provides several activities, It also provided a springboard to talk about the four seasons and could provide an in depth study on bears. Princess was able to draw the bear using I Can Draw Animals from Usborne. Not that I want to brag or anything, but up until 3 months ago, she would not even draw a circle--only lines with an occasional zigzag. The writing program we're using has really helped in this area.
