There were only so many workbook pages one can really do to grasp a concept. Plus I think that some kids don't acheive mastery the first time through so looping over some of those items through the year is beneficial in those circumstances.Tiny Actionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15304288870374605347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5144843546944203243.post-49897299752648221082011-09-05T18:58:59.038-07:002011-09-05T18:58:59.038-07:00This is a great idea - I am going to come back to ...This is a great idea - I am going to come back to that document to find the books to fill in gaps! We are also using MUS, for the first time this year for first grade (alpha). We are liking it so far... I have found that supplementing with some things at Circle Time each morning to be helpful: doing a "time of the day" and "amount of the day" (counting money) each time, and using a bean bag to toss back and forth while counting by tens, fives, twos, hundreds, thousands... we added counting by 2s with odd numbers after one of the MUS lessons mentioned odd numbers.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05029296444906951529noreply@blogger.com
